Terms of Service

By creating an account or using The Framework ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Michael Mitchell ("we," "us," "our").

The Framework is a trading journal application that helps traders log trades, track execution discipline, analyze performance, and improve behavioral consistency. The Service includes trade logging, CSV import, performance analytics, AI-powered coaching, and market briefs.

The Framework does not provide trading advice, investment recommendations, or financial guidance of any kind. The Service is a journaling and analytics tool only. Any AI-generated content (coaching, playbooks, market briefs) is strictly behavioral feedback based on your own journal data — it does not constitute financial advice. All trading decisions are your own. We are not registered as a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any trading or investment decisions.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Service

• Upload malicious files or content through CSV imports or any other feature

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without written permission

• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service

The Framework offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. The free tier includes unlimited trade logging, CSV import, calendar heatmap, equity curve analytics, execution scorecard, and weekly stats. The Pro tier ($20/month or $160/year) adds AI Post-Trade Coach, AI Playbook Builder, AI Market Brief, shareable stats cards, and priority support.

We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or tier structure with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be honored at their current rate for the duration of their billing period.

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service, including trades, notes, and journal entries. We claim no ownership of your trading data. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

While we strive for accuracy in P&L calculations and CSV parsing, we do not guarantee that imported data will be 100% error-free. It is your responsibility to verify the accuracy of your trade data. The Framework is not liable for any financial decisions made based on potentially inaccurate data displayed in the Service.

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any losses or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Framework and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, data loss, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

The Framework name, logo, design, and code are the property of Michael Mitchell. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission. Your use of the Service does not grant you any intellectual property rights in the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or engage in behavior that harms the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email (if opted in) or by posting a notice on the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
